The libary
Yesterday in the library we had a look at the books for the book fair. There where lots of types of books,after a while we put down on the piece of paper what books we wanted and how much they cost .

we did a basket ball festival at the grimsby leisure center yesterday we did shooting at the hoops,dribling ,playing tournemants it was really fun.in maths we had to work out each letter was for exaple a+e=j it was really tricky.

In maths we did adding and subacting on numberlines. In PE we were playing hockey. In topic we were completing part of are spain project.

What we did on Friday!
In french we learnt a song about potatos. In PE we played tag rugby. In Maths we looked at how to spot fake money. We also learnt about nearist tenths to decimels and adding/subtracting decimel numbers. In topic we answered questions on Spain. We also did active and passive questions.
Events
This week we have been doing Sat’s and we still are. We are coping well and we’re lucky they are nearly finised. On July the 7th we will be going to Flamingo Land; it will be really fun. We will be also having a summer prom soon and all year sixs are invited.
Athletics
This week on Wednesday 12 children in year 6 went to Clee fields for a athletics competition. Altogether there were 12 schools there.
There were lots of events like races,juping and throwing. At the end we came in 5th place.
Tests
On the first of Decmber to the fith of December the hole of year 6 was doing practice tets for the sats in May. we didn’t have a lot of fun doing the test but we did have fun doining the activites in the aftrnoon.
children in need
On Friday the 14 of November every one in the school got dressed up as a famous pop star or movie star for children in need. At break time we got to buy yummy cakes. At 2′O’clock we all went into the hall to see who had the best costumes.
Basketball / theatre company
On Monday the 3rd November ,class 6e went on a school trip to the leisure center to play basketball. First we learned some basketball skills, which was very interesting. After that we got into teams and played games of basketball. There was one little difference where we didn’t throw the ball in the hoop we had to throw the ball to our team mate who was in goal. That’s how you got one point.
Also on Thursday the 6th we watched a very good show called ‘Riddles of the ruin’. It was about the Eygyptians.
Celebration day!
6E had a celebration day which was fantastic fun! First of all we wrote some raps – this was really enjoyable. Our parents came in and we had a musical assembly where some of some of us participated in the Samba band. After lunch we learned how to create rap music using dance ejay and finally we learned to Street Dance!!! Miss Emson was our instructor – she was great fun and energetic!
